Enhance Water and Liquid Visuals

Locate Water Settings

Access shader options through Esc → Shader Options (OptiFine or Iris). Search for water-related toggles or sliders, typically labeled Water Quality, Wave Intensity, Reflections, or Caustics.

Enable Wave Effects

Turn on water wave animations if not already active. This creates the gentle breeze effect on water surfaces and grass blades. Adjust wave intensity to control how pronounced the ripples appear—higher values create more dramatic movement, while lower values produce subtle, realistic motion.

Customize Liquid Glow

Find lava and water glow settings. Increase lava glow to make lava pools pulse with brighter light across underground areas. Adjust water reflection quality to enhance how surfaces catch light from the sky and torches.

Test in Different Environments

Visit an ocean biome to see water waves in action, then explore a cave with lava pools to verify the pulsing glow effect works as intended. Check that torchlight reflects naturally on water surfaces near your base.
