The Hand Rake is a tool for gathering plant materials. Use it on crops and plants to collect items like Cotton, Super Petals, and seeds without destroying the plant. This lets you harvest repeatedly from the same spot. Carry a Hand Rake whenever you are foraging so you can gather Cotton and Super Petals as you travel. Cotton is used in crafting, and Super Petals feed into Superfood recipes.

Hand Scraper Uses

The Hand Scraper processes plant blocks into chunks. Use it on cactus to obtain Cactus Chunk, and on melons or pumpkins to obtain Melon Chunk or Pumpkin Chunk. These chunks are the base ingredients for Cactus Pie, Cactus Soup, Melon Pie, Melon Soup, and Pumpkin Soup. Scrape a cactus block repeatedly to build up a stack of Cactus Chunk before cooking. Both tools are simple to craft and do not wear out quickly, so keep one of each in your inventory. Together they let you turn wild plants into cooking ingredients without needing a full farm.
