How to Make Soups

Gathering Soup Ingredients

Soups use vegetables and chunks you can grow or find. Cactus Soup needs Cactus Chunk, Carrot Soup needs carrots, Lentil Soup needs Lentil, Melon Soup needs Melon Chunk, and Pumpkin Soup needs Pumpkin Chunk. Grow carrots, lentils, melons, and pumpkins on farmland, and harvest cactus for Cactus Chunk. Lentil comes from Lentil Seeds, so plant those first and harvest when mature.

Cooking the Soups

Combine the main ingredient with the other required items in a crafting grid to assemble each soup. Soups are typically shapeless, so exact grid positions do not matter. Smelting recipes go in a furnace instead. Each soup restores hunger and is a good use for surplus crops. Because soups stack, cook several at once when you have a large harvest. Keep a campfire or furnace near your farm so you can cook soups without carrying ingredients back to base.
