Craft Soybean Seeds from Soybean and plant them on farmland. Harvest mature Soybean plants to get Soybean, which is the starting point for the mod's tofu and milk chain. Save some Soybean to craft back into Soybean Seeds so you can replant without running out.

From Soybean to Tofu and Milk

Process Soybean in a Mill to produce Raw Soy Milk. Smelt Raw Soy Milk in a furnace to get Cooked Soy Milk, a drinkable food item. Separately, combine Soybean with a Drying Agent to make Fresh Tofu, then smelt Fresh Tofu to get Cooked Tofu. Cooked Tofu is a solid food you can eat directly or use as an ingredient. Both the milk and tofu lines depend on having a steady Soybean crop, so plant a wide patch and replant immediately after each harvest. Drying Agent is consumed in the tofu step, so keep a supply on hand before you start processing.
