How to Use Ancient Ice, Halite, and Himmel Blocks

Ancient Ice Family

Ancient Ice, Ancient Ice Cap, and Ancient Ice Column are the base ice blocks. Glowing Ancient Ice, Glowing Ancient Ice Cap, and Glowing Ancient Ice Column are the light-emitting versions. Use the glowing variants for paths and interiors where you want light without torches, and the plain variants for bulk ice construction.

Halite and Himmel

Halite and Halite Crystal are the salt-like blocks of the set. Himmel Block, Himmel Pillar, Himmel Slab, Himmel Stairs, and Himmel Vertical Slab form a full building family. Cut Himmel Blocks into slabs, stairs, and vertical slabs with a stonecutter, and use Himmel Pillar for columns and supports.

Ancient Stone and Brine

Ancient Stone is the base stone block for this biome. Brine and Brine Bucket let you place and carry brine fluid. Ominous Miasma Bucket carries the miasma fluid. Use these fluids in pools and channels around your ice and Himmel builds.

Building Tips

Pair Glowing Ancient Ice Column with Himmel Pillar for lit vertical features. Use Ancient Ice Cap as a top layer over Ancient Ice. Line walkways with Halite Crystal for accent lighting. Keep Brine Bucket and Ominous Miasma Bucket on hand when shaping fluid features so you can place and reclaim liquid without losing it.
