How to Craft and Equip Cobalt Crystal Armor

Gather the Materials

Cobalt Crystal armor requires Cobalt Crystal Shards, Cobalt Crystal Buds, and the Cobalt Upgrade Template. Cobalt Crystal Buds grow on Cobalt Roots and Cobalt Tangled Violite, which generate in the world. Break the buds to collect Cobalt Crystal Shards. You will need enough shards for a full set: Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.

Smithing the Armor

Cobalt Crystal armor is produced through smithing_transform recipes. Place your Cobalt Upgrade Template in the smithing table's template slot, your base armor piece in the middle slot, and Cobalt Crystal Shards in the material slot. This converts each piece into its Cobalt Crystal variant: Cobalt Crystal Helmet, Cobalt Crystal Chestplate, Cobalt Crystal Leggings, and Cobalt Crystal Boots.

Arrows and Lamps

Cobalt Crystal Shards also craft into Cobalt Crystal Arrows for ranged combat. For lighting, combine shards into a Cobalt Crystal Lamp, which emits light and fits the crystal theme. Cobalt Crystalline Berries can be harvested from the same crystal growths and eaten or used in further crafting.

Tips

Cobalt Crystal Buds appear alongside Cobalt Roots and Cobalt Tangled Violite. Bring a pickaxe and clear the surrounding blocks to expose more buds. The Cobalt Upgrade Template is the limiting factor for a full set, so secure one before farming shards.
