Getting the Core Item

The One Probe is the central item of the mod. It is produced through a shaped crafting recipe. Place the required ingredients in a crafting table in the correct pattern to obtain one The One Probe. Once crafted, this item is what you use to read information about blocks and entities in the world.

Using The One Probe

Hold The One Probe in your hand and look at a block or entity. Information about what you are looking at appears on screen. This works without wearing a helmet, making it the simplest way to start using the mod. If you want the same readout while keeping your hands free, you will need one of the helmet variants instead.

Progression Notes

The One Probe is the entry point for the mod. Craft it first, then decide whether you want to move to a helmet version. The helmet versions let you keep the probe readout active while holding tools, weapons, or blocks. If you only need occasional readings, The One Probe item alone is enough. Keep it in your hotbar and switch to it whenever you want to inspect something.
