Telling the Active and Inactive Magic Mirror Apart

Two Registered Blocks

The mod registers exactly two mirror blocks: Magic Mirror and Magic Mirror (inactive). They are distinct entries, so they do not stack together and they do not behave identically.

Which One You Craft

The only recipe in the mod is a crafting_shaped recipe, and it produces the Magic Mirror — the active form. When you finish the shaped recipe and pull the result from the crafting output slot, you are holding the working mirror. The inactive block is not the output of that recipe.

Identifying What You Have

Look at the item name in your inventory or hotbar. The active block is named Magic Mirror. The other block is named Magic Mirror (inactive). If the name includes "inactive", you are not holding the craftable, working mirror.

Why It Matters

Placing the active Magic Mirror gives you the usable block. The inactive variant is a separate block and should not be treated as a substitute. If your goal is a functioning mirror, craft the shaped recipe and confirm the result slot shows Magic Mirror before you take it. Do not swap one for the other when building or storing mirrors.
