Placing and Using the Magic Mirror

Place the Block

Hold the Magic Mirror and use it on a solid surface to place the block. It occupies a block space like any other placed block, so pick a spot with room around it.

Interact With It

Once placed, the Magic Mirror is the active form. Approach it and interact to use it. The block stays in the world after use, so you can return to the same mirror repeatedly rather than crafting a new one each time.

Active vs Inactive

The mod registers two mirror blocks: Magic Mirror and Magic Mirror (inactive). The one you craft and place is the active Magic Mirror. The inactive variant is a separate block state and is not what the crafting recipe outputs. If you encounter an inactive mirror, it is not the working form — the active Magic Mirror is the one that functions when placed and used.

Practical Setup

Place your Magic Mirror somewhere you can reach easily, such as beside a base entrance or next to a crafting area. Because it is a placed block, you can build around it and leave it in position permanently. Craft a second Magic Mirror if you want one at another location, using the same shaped recipe.
