Lighting a Graveyard with Braziers and Candle Holders

Choose your light source

The mod provides three light blocks: Candle Holder, Fire Brazier, and Soul Fire Brazier. Candle Holder gives a small, low light suitable for graves and niches. Fire Brazier gives a larger warm light for open yards and entrances. Soul Fire Brazier gives the same coverage with a cold blue tone, which suits wither-themed and ossuary builds.

Place them purposefully

Put a Candle Holder at the head of each coffin — Oak Coffin, Spruce Coffin, Birch Coffin, and the rest all work. Line Fire Brazier along the path between gravestone rows so the yard is walkable at night. Use Soul Fire Brazier inside enclosed rooms such as an Ossuary or a Sarcophagus chamber, where the blue light reads against Dark Iron Block walls.

Build a lit entrance

A strong entrance uses two Fire Brazier flanking a Dark Iron Door, with Dark Iron Bars above and a Dark Iron Trapdoor as a roof hatch. Inside, place Candle Holder on ledges beside Skull Pile, Skull and Rib Cage, and Skull on Pike so the skulls are visible but not brightly lit.

Match light to theme

Warm light for overworld graveyards with Cobblestone Gravestone, Mossy Cobblestone Gravestone, and Sandstone Gravestone. Cold light for nether and wither builds with Blackstone Gravestone, Polished Basalt Gravestone, and the Wither skeleton blocks. Keep braziers spaced so no grave is fully dark.
