Switch Between Performance Profiles

Access the Shader Settings

Open your in-game options menu and navigate to the Video Settings. Look for the Shader Options button—this opens the Cursed Shaders configuration panel where all profiles are listed.

Choose Your Profile

The mod includes three performance tiers:

• Potato: Minimal visual effects; designed for very old hardware and low-end systems. Use this if you experience lag or frame drops.
• Low: Balanced performance with moderate shader effects. Suitable for mid-range systems from several years ago.
• Medium: Full visual effects with the complete cursed aesthetic. Requires a more capable GPU.

Apply and Test

Select your desired profile and confirm the changes. The shader will reload automatically. Load into a world and observe frame rates—if performance is still poor, drop to a lower tier. If you have headroom, try upgrading to see more of the cursed visual effects.

You can switch profiles at any time without restarting the game. Changes take effect immediately upon confirmation.
