How to Get Started with the Conjuring Mod: Essence and the Conjuring Focus

Gather Essence and Build Your First Focus

Your entry point is Conjuration Essence. Combine it with a Soul Rod to produce a Conjuring Focus. The Focus is the core tool you will use to interact with the mod's conjuring recipes, so make one before anything else.

Once you have a Conjuring Focus, you can begin working toward a Conjuring Scepter. The Scepter is the upgraded casting tool and is required for higher-tier conjuring. Keep a stock of Conjuration Essence on hand — you will spend it repeatedly as you expand.

Set Up Your First Workstation

Place a Soulfire Forge as soon as you can craft one. The Soulfire Forge handles the mod's soulfire forging recipes and is where most of your early processing happens. Feed it the items its recipes call for and it returns processed outputs you cannot get from a vanilla crafting table.

From there, branch into Soul Alloy. Soul Alloy is the material behind the mod's tool set: Soul Alloy Sword, Soul Alloy Pickaxe, Soul Alloy Hatchet, Soul Alloy Shovel, and Soul Alloy Scythe. Each is produced through the mod's own recipe types, so run them through the correct station rather than a crafting grid.

If you run low on base materials, note that Lesser Conjuration Essence exists as a lower tier of the same resource. Use it where a recipe accepts it and save full Conjuration Essence for the steps that demand it.
