Making Planks, Sticks, and Basic Wood Blocks from Apple, Banana, Cherry, and Coconut Wood

From Wood to Planks

Each fruit wood type converts the same way. Take Apple Wood, Banana Wood, Cherry Wood, or Coconut Wood and process it into the matching planks: Apple Planks, Banana Planks, Cherry Planks, Coconut Planks. These planks are the base for every wooden block in that family, so convert a full stack before you start building.

The Full Block Family

From one plank type you can craft the complete set: Button, Pressure Plate, Slab, Stairs, Fence, Gate, Door, Trapdoor, Sign, Hanging Sign, Barrel, Chest, and Trapped Chest. For example, Apple Planks yield Apple Button, Apple Pressure Plate, Apple Slab, Apple Stairs, Apple Fence, Apple Gate, Apple Door, Apple Trapdoor, Apple Sign, Apple Hanging Sign, Apple Barrel, Apple Chest, and Apple Trapped Chest. The same list applies to Banana, Cherry, and Coconut.

Saplings

Each wood family also has a Sapling: Apple Sapling, Banana Sapling, Cherry Sapling, Coconut Sapling. Plant these to grow more of the corresponding wood.

Boats

Every wood type produces a Boat and a Boat with Chest. Craft the Apple Boat, Banana Boat, Cherry Boat, and Coconut Boat for transport, and the chest variants when you need cargo space on water.

Workflow Tip

Batch your conversions. Turn all your logs into planks first, then craft one of each block type you need. This keeps your CraftBench or CraftFurnace free for the next batch.
