Cool Down When Overheating in Desert Biomes
Recognize Overheating
When your body temperature gets too high, you'll hear panting sounds and take damage. The boss bar at the top of your screen will turn red or orange, warning you that you're overheating.
Use Natural Cooling Methods
Deserts and other hot biomes will heat you up quickly, especially during the day. To cool down:
1. Walk on ice or snow blocks if available nearby—these actively reduce your body heat
2. Stand in shade or inside caves to escape direct heat exposure
3.
4. Travel at night when temperatures naturally drop across all biomes
Adjust Your Armor
Wear less armor or remove metal pieces. Metal armors like iron and diamond conduct heat poorly and will make you hotter in warm biomes. Consider traveling with minimal protection if you're only passing through.
Seek Water
Stand in water sources (rivers, lakes, or even rain) to cool down more effectively. The combination of wetness and water immersion will lower your temperature faster than standing in the open desert.
