Examining the New Designs
The Tears & Cheers resource pack uses double texture space to add fine details to ghast skin. To appreciate these improvements, get close to a ghast or use a resource pack viewer.
What Details to Look For
On Nether Ghasts, observe the wrinkled skin texture that conveys age and dryness. The tear marks are carefully rendered to enhance the sad expression. The repositioned eyes sit lower and wider apart, changing the entire emotional tone of the face.
On Happy Ghasts, notice the smooth, blue-tinted skin and the absence of tear marks. The cheerful expression is conveyed through the eye placement and overall facial structure.
Best Viewing Conditions
Spawn ghasts in Creative mode or find them naturally in the Nether to see the textures clearly. Adjust your render distance and graphics settings for optimal visibility. The higher-quality textures are most noticeable when you're relatively close to the mobs, so approach them carefully or use spectator mode to examine them without danger.
