How to Use the Block Placer

Placing the Block Placer

Craft or obtain a Block Placer and set it down facing the direction you want blocks to appear. The face it points toward is where the placed block will land. Use a wrench or your hand to rotate it if the orientation is wrong.

Feeding and Triggering

Put the block you want to place into the Block Placer's inventory slot. Supply a redstone signal to trigger a placement. Each pulse places one block from the inventory into the target space, provided that space is air or a replaceable block.

This is useful for automating tree farm walls, laying paths, or building repeating structures. Combine it with a hopper to keep it stocked. If the target space is occupied, the Block Placer does nothing and holds the block until the space clears.

Practical Setups

For a tree wall, aim the Block Placer along the row you want filled and pulse it repeatedly. For vertical builds, stack placers facing upward. Always leave the destination column clear of leaves and logs, since the placer cannot overwrite them. Test with a single pulse before wiring a clock, so you do not dump a stack of blocks into the wrong spot.
