How to Set Up a Random Tree (Unset)

What It Does

The Random Tree (Unset) block is a placeholder that resolves into a tree when grown. Place it where you want a tree to appear and let it develop. Because it is unset, the result is not fixed to one species until it grows.

Placement Rules

Give the Random Tree (Unset) a clear column of air above it, just like any sapling. Plant it on dirt or grass. Keep at least a 5x5 footprint free of solid blocks so the trunk and canopy have room. If the space is blocked, growth stalls and the block stays unset.

Managing Results

Once the tree grows, the block is replaced by the resulting trunk and leaves. If you want a specific look, plant several Random Tree (Unset) blocks in a row and let them resolve, then keep the ones you like and remove the rest. Use the Preset Fixer if you need to lock a placement to a known configuration before growing.

Do not stack Random Tree (Unset) blocks directly on top of each other. Each one needs its own ground space and air column. For dense groves, space them four to six blocks apart so canopies do not merge into an unmanageable mass.
