How to Cook with a Campfire

Setting Up the Campfire

Place a campfire on a solid block and light it. The campfire is the cooking station used for the mod's campfire recipes. Keep fuel and raw ingredients on hand before you start.

Cooking Process

Drop the item you want to cook onto the lit campfire. The campfire cooks it over time using the campfire_cooking recipe type. Do not leave finished items sitting too long if you are cooking in batches, since the campfire only holds a limited number at once.

Practical Use

Campfire cooking is useful when you are away from a furnace or want to process food outdoors. Set up a campfire near your Waypoint Flower markers so you have a cooking spot along your route. Keep a spare campfire in your inventory for temporary camps.

If the campfire will not accept an item, confirm the item has a campfire recipe. Not every ingredient is cookable this way. Extinguish the campfire with a water bucket or shovel when you are done, then relight it later when you need it again.
