Setting Up a 5.56 Rifle Platform

Pick the Receiver

5.56 rifles in the registry: M4 Carry, Mk18, Ga416, Sr16, Mcx, Mk16, G36C, G36 Carry, F90, P90, Tpl, Trpl, Arwc, Rtwc, Arn, Lvar, Vpl, Slr, Spc. The M4 Carry and Mk18 are the standard starting points. The Ga416 and Sr16 are alternate AR-pattern receivers.

Craft the Ammo

5.56 guns use Train 556X45. Craft it at the Gun Smith Table in bulk — rifles consume far more than pistols. Keep a dedicated ammo stack per rifle you field.

Fit the Furniture

Rifles accept the widest attachment range. Add a Combat Grip, Angled Grip, or Side Angle Grip to the fore-end. Mount a Stock Tactical Tan for recoil control. For optics, use Rmr Dot, Sro Dot, or a Canted offset. Lasers — Laser Pointer, Custom Laser, Laser Peq15 — go on the front rail.

Branch Into Bullpups

If you want a shorter overall length with the same ammo, build the F90 or P90. Both are bullpup designs that share 5.56 logistics with your AR-pattern rifles, so your Train 556X45 stock works across the whole set. The G36C and G36 Carry are another compact option in the same caliber.
