Crafting Battle Rifles and Magnum Ammo

Choose a Battle Rifle

Large-caliber rifles in the registry include the G3A3, Ga51, Sa58, M14, Mk17, Slr, Scar-pattern Mk16/Mk17, and the Dm4. These fire 762X51 or 65X48 depending on the model. The G3A3 and M14 are classic 7.62 battle rifles; the Mk17 is the modern equivalent.

Craft the Correct Ammo

Open the Gun Smith Table and craft 762X51 for the 7.62 rifles and 65X48 for the 6.5mm entries. Do not mix them — each rifle only accepts its matching round. Craft in large batches; battle rifles have small magazines and high per-shot cost.

Add Long-Range Attachments

Battle rifles benefit most from magnified or precision optics. Mount an Rmr Dot or Sro Dot for general use, or a Canted offset for close-range backup. Add a Stock Tactical Tan to tame recoil and a Combat Grip or Angled Grip on the fore-end. A Laser Peq15 or Custom Laser helps with target acquisition at range.

Magnum Sidearms

For a matching sidearm, craft the 357 Magnum, 509, 57Usg, Usp45, Ump45, Sti 2011, M45A1, or B92X. These use their own ammo entries — check the Gun Smith Table for the exact round each one takes before crafting.
