How to Make Planed Logs with the Wood Plane

Plane your logs

Craft a Wood Plane, then use it on logs to convert them into Planed Logs. The mod supports Planed Oak Log, Planed Spruce Log, Planed Birch Log, Planed Jungle Log, Planed Acacia Log, Planed Dark Oak Log, Planed Crimson Stem, and Planed Warped Stem. Each plain log or stem has a matching planed result, so gather the wood type you want before starting.

Feed the byproducts

Planing produces Sawdust as a byproduct. Sawdust comes in three states: Sawdust, Wet Sawdust, and Dry Sawdust. Wet Sawdust dries into Dry Sawdust, which you can store or use in later crafting. Planed logs are the refined wood input for finer furniture pieces, so process a stack at a time and keep the Sawdust rather than discarding it. If you are short on a specific wood, plane only the logs you have and match your chair or table style to that species.
