How to Craft Terracotta Chess Boards and Timers

Terracotta vs Concrete

Terracotta game blocks use the same color list as Concrete but a different material. If your build uses terracotta walls or floors, craft the Terracotta versions to match.

Crafting a Terracotta Chess Board

1. Choose a color: Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, or Purple.

2. Use the matching Terracotta in the shaped recipe for that color's Chess Board.

3. Collect the block, such as a Black Terracotta Chess Board or a Cyan Terracotta Chess Board.

Crafting the Timer

Use the same Terracotta color in the shaped recipe for the Chess Timer. A Green Terracotta Chess Board pairs with a Green Terracotta Chess Timer.

Crafting Connect Four

Terracotta also has Connect Four blocks. Craft the matching color the same way, for example a Brown Terracotta Connect Four.

Placing Your Set

Place the board and timer on a flat surface with room for two players. Right-click to interact. Keep the blocks clear of walls so both sides are reachable.

Matching a Build

Terracotta colors are muted compared to Concrete, so they suit stone, brick, and desert builds. Pick one color for the whole set — board, timer, and Connect Four — to keep the game area visually consistent.
