Adjust Lighting Intensity and Bloom Strength

Access the Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls settings or accessed via the pause menu). Look for the Sytex Sound Shaders configuration panel.

Fine-Tune Light Behavior

Locate the Bloom slider to control how much light radiates from bright sources like torches, lanterns, and glow blocks. Reducing this value creates subtler lighting; increasing it makes light sources more prominent and atmospheric.

Find the Light Intensity or Brightness setting to adjust overall scene illumination. This affects how strongly colored light sources cast their glow onto nearby blocks and surfaces.

Optimize for Your Preference

Test changes in different environments—try a torch-lit cave, a lava pool, and an open sky at sunset. This helps you see how adjustments affect colored lighting across varied scenarios.

If bloom feels too aggressive and washes out details, lower it incrementally. If the world feels too dark despite high intensity, you may need to increase both settings together for balanced results.

Save Your Configuration

Once satisfied, confirm and save your settings. They will persist across sessions.
