Storing and Swapping Swords in Sword Cases
What a Sword Case Does
A Sword Case is one of the three variants for each material, alongside the Sword Display and the Wall Display. Use a Sword Case when you want an enclosed mount that reads as storage rather than an open showcase. Every material has a case: Oak Sword Case, Iron Sword Case, Diamond Sword Case, Netherite Sword Case, and so on.
Crafting a Case
Craft a Sword Case with its crafting_shaped recipe using the matching base material. For example, use the material that matches the case name. The shaped grid means placement matters, so follow the recipe layout.
Placing and Mounting
Place the Sword Case against a solid surface. Right-click the placed case with a sword to store it. Right-click again to retrieve the sword. This lets you use a case as a quick-access slot for a weapon you want visible but out of your inventory.
Swapping Swords
You can swap the sword in a case at any time. Right-click to remove the current sword, then right-click with a different sword to mount that one. This is useful for rotating a display between a Diamond sword and a Netherite sword, or between an Iron sword and a Gold sword.
Case vs Display
Choose a case when you want the mount to look like storage. Choose a display when you want the sword fully visible. Choose a wall display when the mount must sit flush on a wall.
