Crafting the Oak Sword Display

Place Oak Planks in a crafting table using the shaped recipe for the Oak Sword Display. The recipe is a crafting_shaped recipe, so the arrangement of ingredients in the grid matters. Once crafted, you receive one Oak Sword Display block.

Placing and Using It

Hold the Oak Sword Display and right-click a solid block face to place it. The display sits against the surface you clicked. Right-click the placed Oak Sword Display with a sword in hand to mount the sword. Right-click again to retrieve the sword.

The Oak Sword Display is one of three oak variants: Oak Sword Case, Oak Sword Display, and Oak Wall Display. Use the Oak Sword Display when you want a freestanding mount. Use the Oak Wall Display when you want it flush against a wall. Use the Oak Sword Case when you want an enclosed storage-style mount.

Matching Your Build

Every wood and mineral type has the same three variants. If your base uses Spruce Planks, craft a Spruce Sword Display instead. If it uses Stone Bricks, craft a Stone Bricks Sword Display. The material name in the block name tells you which decorative palette it matches, so pick the variant that fits the surrounding blocks.
