Using the Arrow-Dispenser and Pedestal Blocks

Arrow-Dispenser

The Arrow-Dispenser is a block that stores and launches arrows. Place it facing the direction you want to fire. Load it by right-clicking with arrows in hand, or feed it from a hopper. Apply a redstone signal to make it fire. It works with any arrow from the mod, so you can build traps using Fire-Arrow, TNT-Arrow, or Thunder-Arrow, or set up automated defenses with Piercing-Arrow and Knockback-Arrow.

Pedestal

The Pedestal is a display block. Place a Switch-Bow, Switch-Crossbow, Quiver, Big-Quiver, or any arrow on top to show it off. It is purely decorative and does not fire or store items for gameplay use.

Practical Setups

  • Put an Arrow-Dispenser behind a pressure plate to fire when a mob walks over it.
  • Use a Redstone-Arrow in the dispenser if you want the shot to trigger other redstone components on impact.
  • Combine multiple Arrow-Dispensers with different arrow types to cover different threats.
  • Place a Pedestal near your base entrance with a Switch-Bow on it as a marker.

Loading Notes

Right-click the Arrow-Dispenser with the arrow you want to load. Each right-click adds arrows. Break the block to recover stored arrows. The dispenser fires one arrow per redstone pulse.
