Setting Up Doors, Fences, and Signs with Willow Wood

Crafting the Functional Blocks

Start with Willow Planks, crafted from Willow Wood. From planks you can craft the functional building pieces:

• Willow Door
• Willow Trapdoor
• Willow Fence
• Willow Fence Gate
• Willow Button
• Willow Pressure Plate
• Willow Sign
• Willow Ladder

These cover entrances, enclosures, redstone triggers, and navigation for a Willow-based build.

Doors and Trapdoors

Place a Willow Door in a two-block-high opening to create a working entrance. Use Willow Trapdoor for floor hatches, window shutters, or overhead covers. Both open and close like their vanilla counterparts.

Fences and Gates

Run Willow Fence around animal pens, gardens, and property lines. Leave a gap and place a Willow Fence Gate so you can pass through while keeping animals contained. Fence posts connect to adjacent fence blocks automatically.

Redstone and Navigation

Place a Willow Button on a wall to trigger doors or other redstone devices. A Willow Pressure Plate on the ground activates when you or a mob steps on it. Use Willow Sign to label chests, rooms, and paths, and Willow Ladder to climb between floors or up cliff faces.

Coordinating the Set

Because every piece comes from Willow Planks, a single tree harvest supplies an entire functional build. Pair doors and trapdoors with Willow Stairs, Willow Slab, and Willow Vertical Slab so the trim matches the hardware.
