Making Mud Bricks and Mud Vases

Collecting Mud

Start by gathering Mud Ball items. These are the raw material for everything in the mud building set. Collect a generous stack before you begin crafting, since bricks and decorative blocks consume several balls each.

Crafting Mud Bricks

Combine Mud Ball items in a crafting grid to produce Mud Bricks. From Mud Bricks you can craft the full shape set:

• Mud Brick
• Mud Brick Slab
• Mud Brick Stairs
• Mud Brick Vertical Slab
• Mud Brick Wall

Use Mud Brick Walls for fences and railings, Mud Brick Stairs for roofs and steps, and slabs and vertical slabs to smooth transitions between heights. Stonecutting can convert Mud Bricks into some of these shapes directly.

Crafting a Mud Vase

Mud Vase is a decorative block made from mud materials. Place it as a standalone accent on floors, in corners, or beside doorways. It pairs well with Mud Brick walls and Willow Planks for a rustic build.

Building Tips

Mud Bricks have a warm, earthy tone that contrasts nicely with Willow Planks and Cattail Thatch. Use Mud Brick Slabs as path edging, Mud Brick Stairs for low garden walls, and Mud Brick Vertical Slabs to add texture to flat facades. Keep spare Mud Balls in a chest near your build site so you can craft more bricks without returning to the swamp.
