Cooking Fish Dishes: Kelp Rolls and Rice Cakes

Two Dish Families

The mod adds two styles of fish dish. Kelp Rolls wrap fish with kelp, while Rice Cakes use Rice as the base. Both are crafted at a crafting table.

Kelp Rolls

Craft these using kelp and the matching fish:

• Cod Kelp Roll
• Crab Kelp Roll
• Pike Kelp Roll
• Tropical Fish Kelp Roll

Gather kelp from water and catch or collect the required fish, then combine them in the crafting grid. Keep the finished rolls in your inventory as travel food.

Rice Cakes

Craft these using Rice and the matching fish:

• Salmon Rice Cake
• Lionfish Rice Cake
• Pufferfish Rice Cake

Plant and harvest Rice first, then combine it with the fish. Rice Cakes and Kelp Rolls together cover most fish you will catch in swamp and ocean waters.

Squid Ink Risotto

Squid Ink Risotto is a separate cooked dish. Collect squid ink and combine it with your rice-based ingredients to make it. It rounds out the cooked food options alongside the rolls and cakes.

Stocking Up

Keep a chest near your kitchen with raw fish, kelp, and a stack of Rice. Craft dishes in batches so you always have food on hand. A Rice Sack stores surplus Rice, and a Cattail Seed Sack keeps your farm seeds tidy while you focus on cooking.
