Using the Cutting Board, Roller, and Cleaver Knife

Setting Up Your Prep Station

Place the Cutting Board and the Roller as separate blocks near each other. Keep the Cleaver Knife in your inventory — it is a tool, not a block, and you will need it for prep steps. The Cutting Board is where ingredients get broken down; the Roller is where assembled components get shaped into finished rolls.

The Prep Flow

Start at the Cutting Board. Use the Cleaver Knife on ingredients placed there to prepare them. Once your components are prepped, move them to the Roller to combine them into a finished product. The Roller is the final shaping step, so do not expect it to accept unprepared ingredients — run them through the Cutting Board first.

Common Mistakes

If the Roller will not accept an item, it usually means that item still needs Cutting Board treatment. If the Cutting Board does nothing, confirm you are holding the Cleaver Knife. Keep the two blocks adjacent so you can move items between them quickly without walking back and forth across your base.
