Reading Your Temperature

Craft a Thermometer first. It tells you whether you are too hot or too cold before you take damage. Once you know your status, you can act. The Temperature Regulator is a placeable block that helps stabilize the temperature in an area — set one up in your base so your crafting and storage rooms stay livable.

Heating and Cooling Plates

For active temperature control, craft plates in three sizes: Small Heating Plate, Medium Heating Plate, Large Heating Plate, and the matching Small Cooling Plate, Medium Cooling Plate, Large Cooling Plate. Larger plates affect a bigger area or provide a stronger effect. Place Heating Plates where you are cold and Cooling Plates where you are hot. Ice Cube is a cooling ingredient you can craft and carry. Magma Paste is the heating counterpart. Use these when you need portable temperature relief away from your base.

Wearable Temperature Gear

Wool Hat, Wool Jacket, Wool Pants, and Wool Boots form a full cold-weather set — wear all four for maximum insulation. For heat, craft the Stiffened Honey Helmet, Stiffened Honey Chestplate, Stiffened Honey Leggings, and Stiffened Honey Boots. Stiffened Honey is the base material for that armor set. Combine wearable gear with plates and a Regulator for full control across biomes.
