Crafting Soap from Wood Ash and Potash Solution

Making the Base

Soap production starts with Wood Ash. Collect it, then process it into Potash Solution. From there you combine ingredients into Soap Mix, which is the intermediate step before you get a usable Soap Bottle. The mod registers these as shapeless crafting recipes, so the exact grid position of each ingredient does not matter — only that all required items are present in the crafting grid at once.

Using Soap with Washcloths

A Soap Bottle is used together with a Washcloth to clean yourself. Washcloths come in many colors: White Washcloth, Black Washcloth, Blue Washcloth, Brown Washcloth, Cyan Washcloth, Gray Washcloth, Green Washcloth, Light Blue Washcloth, Light Gray Washcloth, Lime Washcloth, Magenta Washcloth, Orange Washcloth, Pink Washcloth, Purple Washcloth, Red Washcloth, and Yellow Washcloth. Pick any color — they function the same. Combine your chosen Washcloth with the Soap Bottle when you need to wash. Also craft a Bath Sponge for larger cleaning tasks. Keep a stock of Wood Ash coming in from your furnace area so you never run out of the raw material for Potash Solution, and batch-craft Soap Mix so you always have Soap Bottles ready.
