Mining and Resource Gathering on Mountain Peaks
Peak Mining Strategy
Mountain peaks expose ore and stone at high elevations. The dramatic terrain means:
- Ore is visible: Cliff faces reveal ore deposits without extensive mining
- Snow peaks contain different stone types than lower biomes—explore both
- Avalanche risk: Large mining operations can destabilize slopes; be cautious with explosives
Efficient Harvesting
Instead of traditional strip-mining, focus on exposed cliff faces. Climb to ore deposits and mine them directly. This is faster than tunneling and gives you a clear view of what's available.
Be aware that the mod's terrain generation creates natural caves within mountains and valleys. These caves often contain ore clusters and are safer than open-face mining. Explore them systematically with torches to prevent getting lost in the complex passages.
The magical Dreamwoods dimension has unique stone types and materials. Collect samples from different biome zones—the glowing orange plants and colorful forests indicate biome-specific resources. Higher peaks tend to be colder and snowier, while valley floors retain the lush, vibrant character of the original Dreamwoods.
