Using the Altimeter, Clock Block, and Hourglass

Altimeter

The Altimeter reports your current altitude. Hold it or place it and read the display to know your Y level without opening the debug screen. Useful when mining deep or building tall structures where you need to hit a specific height.

Clock Block and Hourglass

The Clock Block shows the current time of day when placed or held. Use it to plan sleep, mob spawning, and daylight-dependent tasks. The Hourglass measures a set interval — place it and it counts down, which is handy for timing farms, minigames, or redstone-free delays.

Combining Them

Place an Altimeter, Clock Block, and Hourglass together in a workshop area. Check the Clock Block before nightfall, use the Hourglass to time a task, and confirm depth with the Altimeter. None of these require redstone or fuel.

Tips

• The Altimeter is most useful underground where the horizon gives no reference.
• The Clock Block replaces guessing whether it is day or night in a windowless room.
• The Hourglass gives a visible countdown you can watch while doing other work.
