Making and Using Candles, Sconces, and Candle Holders

Candle Holders and Sconces

Craft a Candle Holder and place it to hold candles at a fixed height. Variants include Black Candle Holder, Blue Candle Holder, Brown Candle Holder, Cyan Candle Holder, Cupric Candle Holder, and Ender Candle Holder. Each holds candles and lights the area around it.

Sconces mount on walls: Cupric Sconce, Ender Sconce, and Glowlight Sconce. Place a Sconce against a wall to add a wall-mounted light source. Use Sconces where you lack floor space for a Candle Holder.

Colored Lighting

Match Candle Holders and Sconces to your build's palette. The colored Candle Holders (Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Cupric, Ender) let you coordinate lighting with Awnings, Buntings, and Flags of the same colors.

Lamps

For larger light sources, use Blackstone Lamp, Deepslate Lamp, and End Stone Lamp. These are full blocks that emit light and suit floors, ceilings, and walls. Choose the lamp material to match surrounding stone.

Tips

• Candle Holders sit on floors and surfaces; Sconces mount on walls.
• Use colored Candle Holders to match colored Awnings, Buntings, and Flags.
• Lamps are full blocks for broad lighting; Candle Holders and Sconces are for detail lighting.
