Troubleshoot Visual Artifacts or Banding

Identify the Problem

If you notice strange color banding, flickering dots, or uneven halftone patterns across surfaces, the shader may need adjustment. Check whether the issue appears everywhere or only in specific lighting conditions.

Adjust Dot Pattern Settings

Open shader settings and slightly increase the dot size if you see harsh banding lines. This smooths the transition between shaded and lit areas. If dots appear too sparse or disconnected, increase the dot density or intensity value.

Check Lighting Configuration

Some artifacts occur when the shader's lighting calculations conflict with your world's light sources. Try disabling any custom lighting mods temporarily to isolate the problem.

Reset and Reconfigure

If issues persist, reset the shader to default settings, then gradually adjust each option one at a time. This helps identify which setting causes the visual problem.

Ensure your graphics driver is up to date, as outdated drivers can cause rendering glitches with shader effects.
