How to Use the Network Tool and Printing Press

Inspect with the Network Tool

Craft a Network Tool. Use it on your Factory Manager or Tunnelled Factory Manager setup to inspect the network. It shows which inventories are connected through Inventory Cable, Fancy Inventory Cable, and Tough Inventory Cable.

Run the Network Tool along cable runs to find breaks. If an inventory is not appearing, the cable path to it is incomplete. Add cable blocks until the run is continuous from the manager to the inventory.

Use the Network Tool before writing a program. Knowing exactly which inventories the network reaches prevents programs that target blocks the manager cannot see.

Produce items with the Printing Press

Place a Printing Press block. The Printing Press is a processing block in the mod. Use it to produce printed items from your network's supply.

Connect the Printing Press to the network with cable so the Factory Manager can feed it and take its output. Then write a program on a Factory Manager Program Disk that moves the required inputs into the Printing Press and moves the results out.

Verify the Printing Press is reachable with the Network Tool before running the program. If it does not appear, fix the cable run first. Once connected and programmed, the Factory Manager keeps the Printing Press supplied and clears its output automatically.
