How to Craft and Use the Screwdriver and Inspector

Screwdriver Basics

The Screwdriver is your configuration tool. Hold it and use it on a placed component inside a Circuit to change its orientation or settings. Components such as the Adder, Subtractor, Multiplier, Divider, Constant, Booper, and Quartz Resonator respond to the Screwdriver by rotating so their input and output faces point where you need them.

Why Orientation Matters

A component only passes a signal to the neighbor its output face touches. If an Adder is rotated wrong, its result never reaches the next part. After placing any component, use the Screwdriver until the output face points toward the component or Circuit edge you want to drive.

Reading Signals with the Inspector

The Inspector is a block you place in the world next to a Circuit or along a redstone line. It reports the signal value at that point, so you can confirm a Constant is emitting, an Adder is summing correctly, or a Subtractor is producing the expected difference. Move the Inspector along the path to isolate where a signal stops.

A Practical Debug Loop

Build your chain, then place an Inspector at the output. If the value is wrong, step the Inspector back one component at a time. When the reading changes unexpectedly, that component is the problem. Reorient it with the Screwdriver, or swap it for a different part such as a Multiplier or Divider if the math is wrong.

Combining Tools

Keep the Screwdriver in hand while you tune and the Inspector placed nearby. Together they let you configure and verify each stage without tearing the build apart.
