How to Make Bronze Ingots and Bronze Blocks

Mining and Smelting

Bronze Ore generates in the world and drops raw material when mined. Mine Bronze Ore with a pickaxe, then smelt the drops in a furnace to produce Bronze Ingot. Smelting is one of the supported recipe types, so a standard furnace works.

Once you have Bronze Ingot, craft Block of Bronze using a shaped recipe in a crafting table. Block of Bronze is a storage block, so you can also break it back down into Bronze Ingot if you need loose ingots again. If you have raw bronze material on hand, Block of Raw Bronze is the compact storage form for that stage.

Building with Bronze

Bronze Ingot feeds directly into the decorative bronze family. Bronze Slab and Bronze Stairs are both crafted from Bronze Ingot, so you can turn a single stack of ingots into slabs or stairs for a build. Use slabs for floors and stairs for roofs and elevation changes.

The colored bronze variants — Black Bronze, Blue Bronze, Brown Bronze, Cyan Bronze, Gray Bronze, and Green Bronze — are separate blocks in the same family. Each one is a distinct building material, so pick the color you want and craft the matching block rather than dyeing a base bronze block.

For a full bronze build, combine Block of Bronze as the main wall material, Bronze Slab for trim, and Bronze Stairs for rooflines. Keep a stack of Bronze Ingot in your inventory so you can craft more pieces on site.
