How to Build and Use Warp Pipes

Crafting Pipe Bodies

Warp Pipes are built from Pipe Body blocks. Each color has its own Pipe Body: Black Pipe Body, Blue Pipe Body, Brown Pipe Body, Cyan Pipe Body, Gray Pipe Body, Green Pipe Body. Craft the Pipe Body in the color you want, then craft the matching Warp Pipe from it — Black Warp Pipe, Blue Warp Pipe, Brown Warp Pipe, Cyan Warp Pipe, Gray Warp Pipe, Green Warp Pipe.

Linking Two Pipes

Place two Warp Pipes of the same color in the world. Enter one pipe and you travel to the other pipe of that color. This is the warp link: matching colors connect. If you place a single pipe with no partner, entering it has nowhere to send you, so always place pipes in pairs or groups of the same color.

Practical Layouts

Use one color per destination. Green Warp Pipe for your base entrance, Blue Warp Pipe for a mining outpost, Cyan Warp Pipe for a farm, and so on. Keep the pairs far apart so the link is useful, and use a different color for each route so you never arrive at the wrong place. Pipe Body blocks can also be placed as plain decorative pipe segments between the functional Warp Pipes.
