Locating Tortoises

Tortoises are one of the creatures associated with Sully's Mod. Search for them in the same areas you would look for passive mobs — open ground, grass, and areas near water. They spawn as part of normal world generation, so no special setup is required to encounter one.

Interacting with Tortoises

Approach a tortoise slowly. Like most passive creatures, it will not attack you, but it may wander off if you move too quickly. Once you are close, you can observe its behavior and decide whether to lead it back to your base. Use a lead if you want to move it without losing track of it.

Practical Uses

1. Find a tortoise in a grassy or coastal area.

2. Clear a path back to your base before trying to move it.

3. Use a lead to guide it home, or build a simple fenced pen around it.

4. Keep the pen near water if you want it to stay comfortable.

5. Check on it periodically — passive mobs can despawn if the area is not lit or enclosed.

Tortoises fit well into a peaceful base setup. Build a pen with a gate so you can enter and exit without letting them out. If you plan to keep several, give them enough space so they do not bunch up in one corner. Avoid bringing them near hostile mob spawn areas at night.
