How to Get Started with Jade in Sully's Mod

Finding and Mining Jade

Jade Ore and Deepslate Jade Ore are your starting point. Mine either with a pickaxe to obtain Rough Jade. Deepslate Jade Ore generates deeper and yields the same Rough Jade drop.

Processing Rough Jade

Rough Jade is the base material for most jade building blocks. Take it to a Grindstone to polish it — the grindstone polishing recipe turns Rough Jade into Polished Jade. You can also craft a Block of Rough Jade by combining Rough Jade, and a Block of Polished Jade from Polished Jade.

Basic Jade Blocks

From Polished Jade you can craft Polished Jade Bricks, Polished Jade Tiles, Polished Jade Shingles, Polished Small Jade Bricks, Polished Chiseled Jade, and Polished Jade Pillar. Each of these has slab and stair variants made at a crafting table or stonecutter. Rough Jade also has its own family: Rough Jade Bricks, Rough Jade Tiles, and their slab and stair versions, plus Smoothed Rough Jade and its slab and stairs.

Jade Upgrade Smithing Template

The Jade Upgrade Smithing Template is used in smithing_transform recipes. Combine it at a smithing table with the appropriate base item and jade material to upgrade gear. This is how you obtain Jade equipment such as the Jade Shield, Jade Horse Armor, and Jade Totem.
