Crafting and Using Jade Totems

Jade Totem Basics

The Jade Totem is a placeable block made from jade materials. Craft it once you have processed Rough Jade into Polished Jade, since the totem recipe uses jade components. Place the Jade Totem where you want its effect to apply.

Jade Flinger Totem

The Jade Flinger Totem is a separate block in the same family. It is crafted from jade materials and functions as a distinct totem variant. Place it the same way you place the Jade Totem. Both totems are blocks, so they can be broken and repositioned with a pickaxe.

Jade Upgrade Smithing Template

The Jade Upgrade Smithing Template is used in smithing_transform recipes. Combine the template with the appropriate base item and addition item at a smithing table to apply a jade upgrade. This is the path for upgrading gear with jade rather than building with it.

Jade Shield and Jade Horse Armor

Jade Shield and Jade Horse Armor are craftable jade equipment. Craft the Jade Shield for handheld defense and the Jade Horse Armor to equip on a horse. Both consume jade materials, so stockpile Polished Jade before crafting. If you are short on jade, mine more Jade Ore and Deepslate Jade Ore and polish the Rough Jade at a grindstone.
