Making Your Trees Look Solid and Connected
Understanding the Inner Cube System
The Story Mode Leaves Resource Pack adds a solid inner cube to every leaf block. When leaf blocks sit next to each other, these inner cubes automatically connect, creating the thick, dense tree canopies you see in Minecraft: Story Mode.
How to See Connected Leaves
1. Ensure the pack is active in your resource pack list (it should be above any conflicting packs)
2. Plant or find trees with multiple leaf blocks touching each other
3. Look at the tree canopy — you'll see solid layers inside instead of hollow, transparent leaves
4. Build trees intentionally by stacking leaf blocks close together; the more adjacent leaves, the more solid the interior appears
Maximizing the Effect
For the best visual result, grow trees naturally or manually create dense foliage clusters. Isolated single leaf blocks won't show the connection effect as dramatically. The pack works best when leaves form continuous canopies rather than scattered blocks.
If you're using mods like Continuity or Sodium, the connected models will render more smoothly and completely.
