Maximizing Wet Surface Reflections During Rain

Enable Reflection Effects

In your shader settings, locate the wet surface or reflection options. Stormweave Shaders includes toggles for rain-based reflections on blocks. Ensure this feature is enabled to see surfaces respond to rainfall.

Adjust Reflection Intensity

Once enabled, you can control how shiny and reflective wet blocks appear. Increase the reflection strength to make rain-soaked terrain more visibly slick and mirror-like. This is especially noticeable on stone, dirt, and wooden surfaces.

Position Yourself for Best Results

Reflections are most visible when you're looking at surfaces at shallow angles—stand on higher ground and look down at terrain, or position yourself to see blocks at an oblique angle rather than straight-on. This mimics how real wet surfaces catch light.

Combine with Lighting

Wet reflections work best when paired with good lighting. During storms, lightning flashes will dramatically illuminate reflected surfaces. Position yourself outdoors during thunderstorms to see the full effect of rain reflections interacting with lightning strikes.
