Storing and Moving Energy with Energy Disks

Pick the right storage part

Energy storage is built from Energy Storage Parts. The tiers are 400k, 1,6M, 6,4M, 25,6M, and 102,4M Energy Storage Part. Craft the part for the capacity you need, or craft a Custom Energy Storage Part when a fixed tier is too small or too large.

Assemble the disk and housing

Combine an Energy Storage Part into an Energy Disk. Place an Energy Storage Housing to hold the disk and expose it to your network. Insert the Energy Disk into the housing so the stored energy becomes available to connected machines. If you need to move energy between locations, remove the disk from the housing and carry it, then reinsert it at the destination.

Control the flow

Use the IO Energy Interfaces to set how fast energy enters and leaves. The available interfaces are 10% IO Energy Interface, 20% IO Energy Interface, 40% IO Energy Interface, and 80% IO Energy Interface. A higher percentage interface moves energy faster. Place the interface against the housing or the machine you are feeding. Capacitive Redstone can be used alongside the interface to gate energy transfer based on a redstone signal, letting you shut off charging or discharging without breaking the housing.
