How to Build a Chemical Storage Network
Assemble the storage core
Place a Chemical Disk Drive as the anchor of the network. Insert a Chemical Storage Disk into the drive to give the network capacity. Storage Disks come in 64k, 256k, 1024k, and 4096k tiers, and each one is built from its matching Chemical Storage Part. If you need a size that does not exist, craft a Custom Chemical Disk from a Custom Chemical Storage Part.
Connect access points
Place a Chemical Grid adjacent to the drive so you can open the network interface and see stored chemicals. Add a Chemical Importer touching the grid to pull chemicals in from adjacent tanks or machines, and a Chemical Exporter to push chemicals back out. Use a Chemical Filter on the importer or exporter to restrict which chemicals pass through. A Chemical Detector placed against the network reports whether a chosen chemical is present, which is useful for triggering redstone.
Expand and automate
Stack additional Chemical Disk Drives against the grid to add more slots, then fill each with a disk. Keep every part of the network touching the grid or another connected block, since disconnected drives are not seen. Once the grid, drives, importer, and exporter form one connected group, the network stores, receives, and emits chemicals without further configuration.
