What Compacting Drawers Do

A Compacting Drawer stores one material in three related forms at once — for example, an ingot, its nugget, and its block. You insert any of the three and the drawer converts between them automatically. This is the fastest way to store metals, gems, and similar tiered items.

Variants:

• Compacting Drawers (2-Tier) — two conversion tiers (such as nugget and ingot).
• Compacting Drawers (3-Tier) — three tiers (nugget, ingot, block).
• Compacting Half Drawers (2-Tier) and Compacting Half Drawers (3-Tier) — the short-body versions.
• Framed Compacting Drawers (2-Tier), Framed Compacting Drawers (3-Tier), Framed Compacting Half Drawers (2-Tier), and Framed Compacting Half Drawers (3-Tier) — same function, but the frame can be styled.

Using One

Place the drawer and right-click the front. Insert the base item (for example, an ingot). The drawer shows the count in each tier. Pull out whichever form you need by clicking the matching slot. Because conversion is automatic, you never need a separate crafting step to break blocks back into ingots or combine nuggets.

Framed Versions

Framed Compacting Drawers accept a Framing Table treatment so you can apply a custom block appearance to the frame while keeping the compacting behavior.
