How to Upgrade Storage Cabinets to Iron, Gold, Diamond and Emerald

Upgrade Items

Each cabinet tier has a matching upgrade item: Wood Storage Cabinet Upgrade, Iron Storage Cabinet Upgrade, Gold Storage Cabinet Upgrade, Diamond Storage Cabinet Upgrade, and Emerald Storage Cabinet Upgrade. These are crafted items, produced through shaped crafting recipes.

Applying an Upgrade

Place the cabinet you want to upgrade. Use the matching upgrade item on the cabinet. A Wood Storage Cabinet takes the Wood Storage Cabinet Upgrade, an Iron Storage Cabinet takes the Iron Storage Cabinet Upgrade, and so on up the chain.

Progression follows the material order: Wood, then Iron, then Gold, then Diamond, then Emerald. Upgrade one step at a time. To reach an Emerald Storage Cabinet from a Wood Storage Cabinet, apply each tier's upgrade in sequence.

Planning the Chain

Decide your target tier before you start. If you only need Iron-tier capacity, craft the Iron Storage Cabinet Upgrade and stop there. If you want the top tier, gather the materials for every upgrade along the path.

Upgrades preserve the cabinet's stored items, so you do not need to empty it first. Apply the upgrade, then reopen the cabinet to confirm the contents are still there.

If you already placed a cabinet and filled it, upgrade it in place rather than breaking it. Use the Storage Cabinet Dolly only when you need to relocate a cabinet, not when upgrading it.
