How to Craft and Place Your First Wood Storage Cabinet

Crafting the Cabinet

Start with a Wood Storage Cabinet. It is a crafted block, so place the recipe in a crafting table using the shaped recipe for the Wood Storage Cabinet. Once crafted, place the Wood Storage Cabinet on the ground like any other block. Break it with the correct tool to pick it back up.

Storing and Retrieving Items

Right-click the Wood Storage Cabinet to open its inventory. Insert items into the slots. The cabinet holds items in bulk, so you can consolidate a single item type instead of spreading it across many chests. Close the interface when done.

To move a filled cabinet without emptying it, craft a Storage Cabinet Dolly. Place the Storage Cabinet Dolly against the cabinet to pick the cabinet up with its contents intact, then place it down elsewhere. This avoids manually transferring every stack.

Locking and Managing Access

Craft a Cabinet Key to lock a Wood Storage Cabinet. Use the Cabinet Key on the cabinet to lock it, and use it again to unlock. A locked cabinet cannot be opened by other players.

For centralized access, craft a Cabinet Manager. Place the Cabinet Manager and use it to interact with linked cabinets from one interface. This lets you manage multiple Wood Storage Cabinets without walking between them.

Keep your first cabinet near your crafting area. As your storage needs grow, upgrade the Wood Storage Cabinet rather than building a second one.
